The Department of Biotechnological and Applied Clinical Sciences (Italian Acronym DISCAB) was set up on June 3rd, 2011, with rectoral decree number 861/2011. The Department is committed to promote and coordinate all didactic and scientific activities carried out by its workers, respectful of the corresponding varied and diverse scientific disciplines.
The Department originates from the integration of competencies and scientific, didactic, and healthcare experiences of its teachers and researchers, articulating a multidisciplinary approach aimed at mankind health and wellness.
The scientific areas covered by DISCAB researchers and teachers range from biomedicine to applied psychological sciences, and motors and sports sciences.
Over the years, the Department has set up various contacts and cooperated with local, national, and international entities working in the field of biomedicine, pharmacy, and public health. Moreover, the Department has promoted cooperation at international level with various research groups, both public and private.
On the DISCAB website, the students will find all information about the offered activities, study courses, research groups, and scientific projects carried out in the laboratories, as well as the cultural and scientific activities promoted by the Department.
